Nominations came from Cheese Makers and Cheese Lovers = everywhere:

2025 CLASS OF INDUCTEES:

INTERNATIONAL MEDIA: Katia Cheddar Curds Castorena.

Judges’ Comments: “It has a nice ring to it; it literally squeaks.”

NATIONAL MEDIA: Desmond Howard XXXI - XI = XX Year Cheddar.

Judges’ Comments: “Dez is an adopted ‘Homer. Superbowl MVP, too. Hard to beat a name like that.”

WISCONSIN MEDIA: Mark Bad Axe Tauscher.

Judges’ Comments: “Tauscher is a TRUE Homer, and he wears a Bad Axe Moniker well.”

NFL OWNER: Robert Kraft Velveeta.

Judges’ Comments: “The Kraft Name put all the other owners at a disadvantage: It’s redundant, and it’s made in MN! Still, a winner.”

NFL GENERAL MANAGER: Brian Gutekunst Gouda Curds.

Judges’ Comments: “In German, Gutekunst literally means ‘good at art.’ Gutekunst Gouda Curds is literally: The Art of Cheesemaking. BONUS: The name will play very well in the international markets this season.”

#1 DRAFTEE: Shedeur Neon Blue Cheese Sanders.

Judges’ Comments: “A good combination of a historical cheesy name combined with an up-and-coming, Blue-Ribbon Rookie.”

JUDGING CRITERIA:

#1: WWBD = What Would Boomer Do?

Would Chris Berman say it? Would he use it on air? Is it ‘immortalize-able?

#2: Nominations had to be Cheesy, but not too Cheesy. It had to be Clever; Creative;

Memorable. The Judges asked: Will it Age Well?

#3: Does the name make a sound, like…does it squeak?

Is it Musical? Lyrical; Loveable; Laughable? Any Alliterations?

“Special Consideration” was given if the nomination included a Dairy, or a

Cheesemaker in the name. “Consideration” also given if the nominee was an actual

‘homer like Mark Tauscher or Steve The Homer True. “Consideration” also given if it

was a Wisconsin Cheese, but we love all cheese.
